Complete and finished

March 6, 2010

Once there was a young woman who asked her mother about the best time for marriage. The mother paused for a moment… and smiled… then she asked her daughter; “what’s the difference between complete and finished?”

Mom!? Does that have any connection with my question? The daughter asked curiously… Oh yes, My dear! The mother answered. But the daughter was confused…

Then there was a deep silence…

Finally, her mother looked at her in the eyes and said calmly..

“If you marry the right person, you’re complete. But if you marry the wrong person, you’re finished.”

“…Do not awaken love until it so desires”

I had the chance of asking a beautiful woman, who’s a prostitute, regarding her present situation. I asked her why she chose that profession. she said;
I didn’t have a choice, life is tough. now that I am here, look at these (pointing at her jewelries and borloloys).

After talking to her, i walked away and i realized she still had a choice. She chose that road. She just want to have a better life now. ….if she really has.

I saw that the real problem is not about the toughness of life, but the hardness of heart. And I realized, it cannot be tamed. ….like the grave.
